The Kick-off Meeting of the DSPF project RONNI, “Increasing the well being of the population by RObotic and ICT based iNNovative educatIon” took place in Kavala, Greece in the period February 27th 2018 – March 1st 2018. The meeting was attended by representatives of the all three Project Partners – Institute of Robotics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IR-BAS), Sofia, Bulgaria, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Institute of Technology (EMaTTech), Kavala, Greece and the Univercity of Split, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical engineering and Naval architecture (US – FESB), Split, Croatia and Strategic Partners of the project from Greece.

During the meeting, presentations were given concerning Project Partners experience, their past and current projects, good practices and recommendations. Special attention was paid to important management issues, outputs and timeframe for successful implementation of the RONNI project. Demonstrations were performed of robotic technologies that are planned to be used for the purposes of the project. All participants made use of this opportunity to discuss and clarify the core details of the project like questionnaire preparation, target groups definition etc.

The meeting was used for informal talks and exchange of experience between the participants.
At the last day of kick off meeting all the partners visited the HUman-MAchines INteraction (HUMAIN) Lab of EMaTTech Institution where demonstrations were given using the social robot NAO including educational games and methodologies for supporting educational learning.
